Cancer is on a rising trend in today’s society, affecting people across all walks of life. International Cancer Survivors Day is an annual, cherished Celebration of Life observed on the first Sunday of June throughout the world; this year, It falls on the 5th of June. This day is a celebration for those who have won the fight against Cancer and an inspiration for those who have recently been diagnosed with cancer and a show of support for cancer-affected families. Caretakers of cancer patients deserve the same amount of honor and love as they pay utmost attention to the patients who are coping with cancer On International Cancer Survivors Day, people worldwide come together to motivate the individuals who are still coping with cancer and commemorate the survivors who have stood up against all odds .It is crucial to protect the cancer survivors from cancer relapse. As a survivor you must visit your oncologist regularly for a follow-up and get your screening tests periodically to prevent the risk of cancer and other chronic diseases. It’s important to discuss with the oncologist and get a follow-up plan. Learning that you have cancer is a difficult experience. After your cancer diagnosis, you may feel anxious, afraid or overwhelmed and wonder how you can cope during the days ahead. There are a few things that would help in coping with a cancer diagnosis. Having a positive outlook has proven to help the chances of recovery. We have seen cancer Survivors who have talked about how life dealt them a severe blow, and how they continued to stay strong and not crumble. They donned the cape of strength and put on the amour of resilience and became inspirational examples for the rest of the world. Do not be bogged down and depressed as to why you are the one afflicted; instead, muster all the willpower and courage you can and tackle it. Try to divert your mind from the disease by engaging in activities that interest you or get back to work when your health permits. We, at D. S. Research Centre, are encouraging everyone – cancer survivors, caregivers, healthcare professionals, family members, and friends – to join us on this day with the strong belief of #TogetherWeCan #DefeatCancer. We also come up with multiple cancer awareness campaigns throughout the year. The centre has always served to treat cancer by providing the path breaking ancient Ayurveda-based nutrient energy treatment and has been providing hope, health and happiness to cancer patients all around the world. |
