About the Role

We are looking for a proactive and dedicated HR Executive to join our team at D.S. Research Centre, Kolkata. The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing the end-to-end HR functions — from recruitment to employee engagement — ensuring smooth operations and a healthy workplace culture within one of India’s leading Ayurvedic cancer research organizations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and update job descriptions for all positions in coordination with respective departments.

  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment cycle, including sourcing, screening, and onboarding of candidates.

  • Coordinate with the HR Consultant for induction and joining formalities.

  • Prepare and issue appointment, confirmation, and other HR-related letters as applicable.

  • Support in conducting performance appraisals and coordinating with management and department heads.

  • Maintain and regularly update the HR Information System (HRIS).

  • Handle the full and final settlement process for resigned employees.

  • Address and resolve employee grievances through appropriate communication and escalation.

  • Manage leave records, attendance tracking, and monthly salary sheet preparation.

  • Distribute payslips and leave cards to employees on a timely basis.

Requirements & Skills

  • MBA (HR) from a recognized university (Full-time; no correspondence courses).

  • Strong communication skills in English, Hindi, and regional language (mandatory).

  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and multitasking skills.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all HR matters.

  • Sound knowledge of HR policies, employee engagement, and compliance procedures.

  • Strong attention to detail and proficiency in MS Office.
